RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

To undertake a development or build on your property you may require a resource consent under the Resource Management Act 1991. We are able to assist with both one-off applications for resource consent and project manage proposals for development.

We can provide guidance and advice relating to: issues in regard to the District Plan, applications for resource consent, representing you at council hearings, environmental dispute resolution and lodging appeals against council decisions.

Quick Facts

Did you know:

  • The hearing of the appeals against the current Revised Proposed District Plan is almost complete and many of the rules in the District Plan are settled.
  • A resource consent application for a non-complying activity may still be granted where the effects of the proposal can be appropriately managed.
  • Some proposals, particularly in coastal areas, will require resource consent from both the Far North District Council and the Northland Regional Council.
