Family Law

Most issues which develop after the breakdown of a marriage or de facto relationship are resolved by negotiation and settlement, not by Court proceedings. We aim to reach an outcome which is workable, while looking after your interests.

Quick Facts

Did you know:

  • You can appoint replacement guardians for your children in your will, if you die while they are young.

  • A relationship property agreement must be in writing and your signatures witnessed by separate lawyers.

  • A "friendly" prenuptial agreement may avoid a dispute if problems develop in a relationship.

  • Separate property is not automatically converted to relationship property after 3 years.
